    Hi everyone.
    I STS this week.
We are going out tomorrow evening to a black tie event and, heaven help me, it’s likely to be a boozy do and the food is an Italian buffet. Hopeful of salad and cold meats but I’m thinking it will be pasta/pizza.
Less than 8 weeks until my next holiday so I shall keep on keeping on

Well done on the loss winterbear & STS Matron Midge. Good luck for your buffet & drinks tomorrow! Buffets are the worst for me as I seem to have zero self control in that situation 😂

  • I didn't get on here yesterday and @Bluegreen143, @milann and @maddiemay have all had losses since I last posted! Well done all of you!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Good luck for tomorrow @bubbs and @weekendsaway and 🤞🏼 you both get a loss. Are you still having Saturday as your WI day @Coxy11?🤔

Sorry you had that frightening experience @bubbs but glad the other drier was so sensible. I don't blame him not going through insurance. Someone reversed into DH in a car park a couple of years ago and cracked a light fitting. We didn't make a claim, just informed the insurance company like you're supposed to and then got the fitting replaced ourselves. So it cost the company zero but our next policy premium skyrocketed.

Welcome @youth_leader. You've had a tough few years but you'll feel much better when you lose the weight.🤗. I hated being fat and now I love the feeling of being in control. Do ask if there's anything we can help with.

DH had his gallstones op yesterday. It was supposed to be simple keyhole but ended up more complicated. I waited and waited for a call to pick him up but they kept him in. I went to see him today and he's still quite woozy and sore so we'll see how he's doing tomorrow. I managed to stay on plan all day, in fact I probably didn't eat enough. I didn't have dinner as I was expecting a call and just picked on grapes and blueberries and a small (HEA size😇) piece of cheese.

I was starving this morning so had a cooked breakfast with fried potatoes instead of toast. That means HEB not used so I could have it later if I fancy. Lunch was a JP with cottage cheese and salad and tonight I'm having salmon with SW chips and veg. Then I think I'll have a couple (or more😉) of G&Ts as I deserve it.😁

Hope your DH gets out of hospital tomorrow Maman.

Today my DS (9) wanted apple strudel for dessert. As we had to buy something in Lidl to get the free parking, I said that was fine and also picked up a small tub of salted caramel ice cream. I knew the kids and DH would enjoy this, but I didn’t want to waste the syns on apple strudel, which I don’t mind but don’t love. But the caramel ice cream called to me.

So I did a weigh day treat dessert - 75g salted caramel ice cream (7.5 syns) layered in a glass with lots of strawberries and banana. It was really lovely! Much nicer than the strudel, for me at least.

    B - beans on toast

(HEB / 2 syns for butter)

L - tuna, red onion & sweetcorn pasta with cheddar

(HEA / 2 syns for light mayo)

D - beef stew with air fryer roasties & tenderstem broccoli

(2 syns for olive oil for the roasties, 0.5 for cornflour, 1.5 for wine)

Then 7.5 for dessert. Sototal of 15.5 today.

Hi all, some of you may remember me, I did really well at Slimming world losing around 5 stone until my group closed maybe 16 months ago.

I'd love to say I've kept it up, but I haven't, I've put on probably 4st I know what I weigh in lbs, no idea what it is in stones, and to be honest I'm not ready to know.

I'm now pre diabetic, this is purely due to my shocking diet the last 12 months.

I can feel my knees again, I'm borderline anaemic which I'm sure is partly why I eat more as I'm so tired.

I'm so disappointed in myself, my health is really gone downhill and it's all down to my poor choices. SW was so easy when my head was in the right place.

I'm not going back to SW, but I am starting my pre diabetes support next week.
My weigh in day will be Tuesdays, I'm not going back to SW but I am going back to the principles.

My support group runs until October.

My long term goal is we are having a big tropical holiday to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary in 3 years time. So I'd like to be at a weight that is sustainable and have kept to this weight for at least 1 year.

I'd love to lose 2st by June.

I hope its okay to rejoin you lovely lot.

Well done to everyone who has lost. Glad you got the wing mirror sorted Maman and welcome to the newcomers.
ive been out all day. A singing group this morning, lunch at a friends and a craft class this afternoon.
Considering I’ve been out all day I’m pleased with myself.
Breakfast - youghurt, berries, banana and granola
Dinner - veg and chestnut stew at friends house…not many chestnuts virtually all veg which was lovely.
Tea - chicken, potatoes and corn on the cob
Snack 1 M&S mini choc roll

    January spends - £587.58

@coxy11 , you did well to resist cake when all around are having . Good for you re Park Run, Ive not been in ages , ground has been either waterlogged or frozen

Great result there @winterbear95 , especially as you have been busy and not going - well done xx

@Matron_Midge, STS is a win Lose weight with Slimming World in 2025, You know you want to. - Page 16 (51) Going out is part of life, I just go with the flow and claw back where I can the rest of the week, remember its not what you ate, its what you eat going forwards that counts Lose weight with Slimming World in 2025, You know you want to. - Page 16 (52)

@maman , hope DH is doing well now. Stressful when those you love are poorly, take care of yourself as well

@Bluegreen143, great way of thinking re the strudel. I always think of my syns as money. Do I really want to part with x syns for that? Im careful with money so Im doubly careful with sins, I want the best value possible Lose weight with Slimming World in 2025, You know you want to. - Page 16 (53) And that's what you have done, got yourself a delicious dessert with as few syns as possible - well done and great thinking

Wb @strawb_shortcake. So sorry that you are back to where you were, but hey, you have acknowledged you need to do something and that's a huge step

One thing I have to suggest, did you watch the Glucose Goddess on C4 these past two weeks? She really does make sense of how insulin works on the body and she shows how to reverse T2 without having to "diet" as such. A lot of the principles are the same as SW but she actually explains why it works. TBH I knew that insulin did cause havoc with weight but I didn't understand how and why till I watched that and so much has fallen into place for me. Really worth a watch. Good luck xx

@milan , sounds like you have this cracked - well done x

    Waves at @beanielou xx

Weighed in and Ive got to be honest, pretty peeved with a 1lb loss. Now I know a pound off is good, but what's pee'd me off is that not a drink in two weeks, upped water, and shovelled in the speed, I was hoping for 2 or more because I had made so many changes. Alas my body had different ideas

However as reiterated again, scales don't define me. Three of four people commented on how I was looking ( and don't forget this is an 8am weigh in that I have to travel to so fall out of bed and fall in, no getting pretty ) so whilst the scales haven't reflected my hard work, my body is - so I shall just content myself.

I did fall off DJ last night and had two drinks - well within syns for the day and week. Im planing on not drinking today but who knows. Same as SW, I have to get up every morning and plan and also accept sometimes plans don't always pan out so I start every day afresh, I never carry yesterday over nor do I look at tomorrow. I keep it in the day

Huge groups these past two weeks, nice to see new faces
